OCEAN DIVER

 
The Ocean Diver qualification is the first level of BSAC diver training.
It consists of:
7 Classroom sessions
5 Sheltered Water / Swimming pool sessions
5 Open Water dives
The classroom sessions cover the theory of diving, the sheltered water sessions teach you the practical skills and allow you to practice them in a controlled environment. The Open Water dives take those skills into a practical environment

 
The club makes a charge for the training, which covers
Use of club equipment during training
Hire of the swimming pool
Open water dives from shore and boat
Qualification Record Book
Work books and lecture notes.
Your copy of the BSAC 'Sports Diving' manual.
The club instructors are unpaid volunteers.
